Instrumentation Engineer – DRI (Green Steel Project)

About the role

The leading integrated steel producer in the GCC is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to join a major Green Steel / Low‑Carbon Steel project at its Direct Reduction Iron (DRI) plant in Duqm, Oman. The role focuses on instrumentation engineering, commissioning, and start‑up activities within a DRI environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain instrumentation systems for the DRI plant.
• Support commissioning and plant start‑up phases, ensuring all instruments function to specification.
• Participate in operations and maintenance activities, troubleshooting instrumentation issues.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate MIDREX or HYL ENERGIRON technologies.

Required profile

• Strong experience in DRI plants, preferably with MIDREX or HYL ENERGIRON technologies.
• Background in instrumentation engineering, including commissioning and start‑up.
• Hands‑on experience in DRI plant operations and maintenance.
• Solid technical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Relevant engineering qualification (preferred).
