Insurance Specialist – Marine & Cargo Vessel

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Insurance Specialist to manage the insurance portfolio of a leading asset‑backed financing organisation in Muscat. The role covers marine, aviation and corporate lines, ensuring protection of high‑value international assets throughout the deal lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Place, renew and administer corporate insurance policies including Marine Hull & Machinery, P&I, War Risk, aviation, motor fleet and liability covers.
• Review and draft insurance clauses in financing agreements, charter parties and loan documents to ensure compliance.
• Maintain detailed insurance schedules, certificates, endorsements and premium payment records.
• Coordinate with international brokers and underwriters across London, Scandinavia, the Middle East and Far‑East for quotations and policy adjustments.
• Support due‑diligence, bank reporting, audits and transaction execution with accurate insurance documentation.
• Lead the claims management process, liaising with brokers, loss adjusters and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare regular insurance status reports, exposure summaries and renewal pipelines for senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of corporate insurance experience with strong marine insurance exposure.
• Experience in aviation, motor fleet and general corporate insurance products.
• Proven ability to review insurance wording in commercial and financing contracts.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple renewals simultaneously.
• Professional proficiency in English; French or Spanish is an advantage.
