IT On-Site Engineer (Muscat)

About the role

The IT On‑Site Engineer will provide end‑to‑end technical support across Muscat and regional offices. You will be responsible for maintaining network infrastructure, server environments and user services while ensuring high availability and security.

Key responsibilities

• Manage LAN, WAN and MPLS networks, including configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Administer server hardware, operating systems, Active Directory, Office 365/Lotus Notes and related services.
• Perform backup, restore, patch management and antivirus updates for all critical systems.
• Provide 2nd‑level support for PRI lines, EPABX, conferencing solutions, UPS and peripheral devices.
• Support regional offices with LAN cabling, AD domain migrations and on‑site troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with external vendors, manage inventory and document all changes.
• Participate in IT projects such as Siebel patching, cloud/web solution deployments and teleconferencing setups.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on IT field experience in networking and system administration.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the region.
• Project management aptitude and a professional, customer‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• CCNA, MCSE, ITIL (or equivalent certifications).
