IT Specialist – On-site (Omani Only)

About the role

We are seeking an IT Specialist to join our team at Marriott International in Al Mouj, Muscat. The role focuses on maintaining and supporting the hotel’s technology infrastructure, ensuring reliable operation for staff and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Follow company policies, protect assets and address guest service needs.
• Exchange information with colleagues using electronic devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to software, hardware, internet access and peripheral equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors/technicians for major issues or defective products.
• Respond to program error messages, enter commands and activate controls on computers and peripherals.
• Inspect, test and diagnose computer equipment and systems.
• Maintain inventory of all technology devices.
• Support computer networks, server systems and related software.
• Provide network communications support and perform system backups.
• Deliver end‑user support, manage user accounts and reset passwords.
• Install, configure and modify workstations, cables, laptops, docking stations and printers.
• Secure backup tapes and computer/telephone rooms and educate users on PII protection.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related IT work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Omani nationality (as indicated by “Omani Only”).
• Ability to lift, carry or move objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
