About the role
Galfar Engg. & Contracting SAOG is hiring a full-time Lab Technician. The role covers sample collection, in-house laboratory and field tests on the project, and the upkeep of the related equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out sample collection, in-house laboratory and field tests on the project.
- Maintain all laboratory and field test equipment used for testing.
- Prepare, maintain and retain lab and field test records.
- Follow standard testing procedures as specified in relevant codes and standards.
- Inform the Material Engineer / Inspector of any non-conformances found during testing.
- Coordinate with the material engineer on technical issues to be resolved at site or in the lab.
Required profile
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or graduate in Science.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in material testing of infrastructure projects, including soil, embankment, aggregate, concrete and asphalt.
