Laboratory & QHSE Staff – Chemist, Technician, Assistant Roles

About the role

Our organization is expanding its laboratory and quality‑health‑safety team in Oman. We are looking for qualified professionals to fill several positions including a QHSE Officer, Chemists, Lab Technicians, Lab Assistants (samplers) and Office Assistants for data entry.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor QHSE policies and laboratory safety procedures (QHSE Officer).
• Perform mineral and chemical analyses using XRF, ICP‑MS, AAS, fire assay, sulfur analyzer and wet‑chemical methods (Chemist, Lab Technician).
• Prepare and handle samples, maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with ISO 17025 standards (all laboratory roles).
• Enter and manage analytical data in LIMS and generate reports for internal and client use (Office Assistant, Lab Technician).
• Support sampling campaigns in the field and ensure proper documentation of sample collection (Lab Assistant – Sampler).

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in Chemistry, Earth Science or related field (QHSE Officer, Chemist, Lab Technician).
• Diploma or High Diploma acceptable for Lab Technician and Office Assistant roles.
• High school diploma for Lab Assistant – Sampler.
• Relevant laboratory experience ranging from 0 to 5 years as specified per position.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 17025 implementation and compliance.
• Proficiency with XRF, ICP‑MS, AAS, fire assay, sulfur analyzer and wet‑chemical analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with laboratory quality and safety systems.
• Computer skills: MS Office, Excel and LIMS.
• Basic analytical reporting and data entry abilities.
