Lead Engineer Operations Support

About the role

The Lead Engineer Operations Support will provide expert technical engineering leadership and operational support for OQEP's offshore facilities, including piping systems in processing plants and production platforms. Reporting to the Manager Operation & Maintenance Support, the role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient upstream surface operations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver robust technical engineering expertise and innovative solutions for offshore facility execution and operation.
• Lead operability, availability and reliability assessments, providing technical judgement on modifications and innovations.
• Manage a large scope of concurrent engineering activities across multiple assets, prioritising high‑quality outputs.
• Analyse complex technical and reliability issues, recommending solutions that improve safety, availability and performance.
• Provide hands‑on operational support, troubleshooting and readiness assurance for assigned offshore assets.
• Modify and improve engineering processes, standards, procedures and documentation to enhance reliability and integrity.
• Mentor and develop production and junior engineers, embedding common engineering principles across teams.

Required profile

• Proven technical engineering expertise in offshore facilities and piping systems.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, capable of guiding multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects while delivering high‑quality technical outputs.
• Strong analytical skills to resolve complex operational and reliability challenges.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and promoting engineering best practices.
