Lead Pipeline Designer – Senior Pipeline Design (Oman)

About the role

Wood is seeking a Senior Pipeline Designer to join its Omani team, delivering Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and detailed design for on‑shore oil and gas projects. The role focuses on creating high‑quality pipeline design drawings and documentation for both brown‑field and green‑field opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop pipeline design drawings and related documents in line with project scope.
• Collaborate closely with pipeline engineers, designers and other discipline engineers.
• Implement hand‑marked changes, maintain standard drawing templates, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001‑2015 and API Q2 standards.
• Provide quality‑assurance reviews, detailed checking, and monitor drawing development progress.
• Meet project schedules, identify process improvements to reduce cycle time and cost, and record weekly time accurately.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of oil & gas piping design experience.
• At least 3 years using AutoCAD and 3D PDMS design systems.
• Minimum 5 years of FEED or engineering experience.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
