Manager, Financial Systems

About the role

OQ Group is looking for a Manager Financial Systems to lead the governance, performance and continuous improvement of its financial systems landscape. The role ensures the integrity, accuracy, compliance and efficiency of financial system processes, manages system enhancements and user support, and acts as the strategic link between Finance and IT.

Key responsibilities

• Own financial master data governance (chart of accounts, cost centers, projects, financial dimensions) and establish internal controls, including user access and segregation of duties
• Ensure systems comply with IFRS, accounting policies and group reporting requirements, and oversee documentation, configuration standards and change control
• Keep GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash and Projects stable and reliable, resolve issues and support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, plan UAT and deployments, and drive automation of reporting, reconciliation and consolidation
• Support consolidation of subsidiaries and joint ventures, develop standardized reports and dashboards, and lead SAP BPC
• Own planning and budgeting systems, forecasting and scenario analysis, and support Treasury, insurance and risk management systems
• Provide system evidence for internal and external audits, manage access risks and cybersecurity alignment
• Lead and mentor a team of Financial Systems individual contributors, liaise with Finance, IT and vendors, and train finance users

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or administration; CPA, ACCA, CTA, CTP or equivalent professional qualification required
• Excellent written, spoken and reading English
• 8-12 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial, systems lead or solution owner role in a complex group or multinational environment (Oil & Gas, energy or large industry preferred)
• Experience with finance, treasury, assurance, IT and external vendors; prior exposure to Oil & Gas systems is highly desirable

Required skills

• SAP ECC/S4HANA and SAP BPC, including administration, configuration, enhancements and troubleshooting
• Financial accounting, consolidation, treasury, budgeting and planning systems
• Knowledge of financial controls, audit requirements and system-driven governance
