MEP Planning Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced MEP Planning Engineer to join a dynamic project team delivering large‑scale construction projects. You will be responsible for creating, maintaining and analysing project schedules, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with contractual milestones.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update detailed project programmes using Primavera P6.
• Prepare baseline, look‑ahead, recovery programmes and regular progress updates.
• Monitor progress against approved schedules, identify delays, risks and critical path activities.
• Produce weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards and programme analysis.
• Liaise with project managers, design teams, subcontractors and clients to achieve programme objectives.
• Carry out critical path and earned value analysis as required.
• Support resource planning, forecasting and productivity monitoring.
• Assist with Extension of Time (EOT) claims and delay analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Planning Engineer on MEP construction projects.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction contracts.
• Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder‑management skills.
