Night Auditor

About the role

The Night Auditor ensures the hotel's financial integrity during the overnight shift while delivering high‑quality service to guests. This position combines accounting responsibilities with front‑desk duties, guaranteeing accurate daily reporting and a safe, welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct night audits of room revenue, food & beverage sales, and other income sources.
• Verify and reconcile all daily transactions for accuracy and completeness.
• Handle guest check‑ins, check‑outs, reservations, phone calls, and special requests during the night shift.
• Generate audit reports covering revenue, occupancy, and financial performance.
• Prepare and distribute daily financial reports to management.
• Manage cash transactions, reconcile cash drawers, and maintain accurate cash records.
• Assist the front‑desk team and ensure smooth operation of the desk.
• Support internal and external audits related to night‑audit processes.
• Respond to emergencies, maintain a secure environment, and communicate incidents to the head of finance.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures.

Required profile

• Experience with financial reconciliation and night‑audit procedures.
• Strong guest‑service orientation and ability to handle inquiries professionally.
• Proficiency in cash handling, deposits, and drawer reconciliation.
• Knowledge of accounting standards, financial regulations, and company policies.
• Ability to respond calmly to emergency situations and maintain security.
