Operations Lead

About the role

The Operations Lead will oversee all gas‑related operational activities, reporting to the VP of Operations. This senior position ensures that gas supply, accounting, and settlement processes run smoothly while meeting contractual, regulatory, and commercial requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead gas operations including data validation, capacity booking, nominations, balancing, and settlement.
• Manage network expansion studies and optimisation projects with the TSO, covering capacity, tariffs, CAPEX and implementation plans.
• Prepare contract datasheets and annual gas nominations, ensuring compliance with the Transportation Code and supply agreements.
• Oversee metering validation, mass‑balance reconciliations, discrepancy investigations and mismeasurement reporting.
• Evaluate new gas request applications, conduct due‑diligence and support allocation decisions.
• Support negotiation and execution of gas sale/purchase agreements, handling pricing, quality and supply profile discussions.
• Monitor contractual compliance, stakeholder communications and enhance operational reporting and controls.
• Lead emergency management coordination and maintain response and curtailment plans with the TSO.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in engineering and natural‑gas operations.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive process improvements.
