Packing Machine Technician – Biscuits

About the role

A leading FMCG company in Oman is hiring Packing Machine Technicians to operate, maintain and troubleshoot biscuit packaging machinery. The role ensures smooth production, minimal downtime and compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain biscuit packing machines and automated packaging lines.
• Perform preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of packing equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and PLC control faults.
• Set up, adjust and calibrate machines for various product sizes and packaging formats.
• Inspect finished products to ensure packaging quality and compliance.
• Coordinate with production, quality and maintenance teams to meet targets.
• Maintain daily maintenance records, machine logs and production reports.
• Follow GMP, HACCP, food safety, hygiene and HSE regulations.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper housekeeping around machines and production areas.

Required profile

• Degree, Diploma or ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Maintenance or related field.
• Mandatory experience in packing machine operation and maintenance within the FMCG biscuits industry.
• Gulf experience preferred.
• Experience with automated packaging and production line equipment is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of biscuit packing machines and packaging line equipment.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic systems and PLC‑controlled machines.
• Ability to troubleshoot production equipment efficiently.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and machine setup.
• Familiarity with food manufacturing quality and safety standards (GMP, HACCP).
