Rotating Equipment Principal Engineer

About the role

The Rotating Equipment Principal Engineer will lead the maintenance, operation, and project delivery of rotating machinery across SGS facilities. This senior technical position combines strategic planning, budgeting, and hands‑on engineering leadership to ensure equipment reliability and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enforce QA/QC protocols for preventive and corrective maintenance of rotating equipment.
• Drive communication between senior leadership, cross‑functional teams, and external vendors.
• Build and maintain a high‑performing engineering team, set goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide coaching.
• Create long‑term strategic and budget plans (Capex & Opex) aligned with corporate objectives.
• Lead engineering activities for capital projects, plant expansions, and brownfield modifications from concept through commissioning.
• Manage vendor selection, FAT/SAT processes, and contractor performance.
• Recommend best practices for operation and maintenance and guide complex investigations.
