PCC (Pre‑Commissioning & Commissioning) Instrumentation Lead Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced PCC Instrumentation Lead Engineer to lead instrumentation pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities on a large‑scale LNG facility in Oman. The role is site‑based and responsible for delivering instrumentation systems from Mechanical Completion through start‑up and hand‑over to Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all instrumentation PCC activities in line with the commissioning philosophy and schedule.
• Provide technical and execution leadership to Instrumentation System Engineers and field teams.
• Coordinate and supervise instrument installation verification, loop checking, functional testing, cause‑and‑effect testing, calibration, control valve testing and analyzer commissioning.
• Verify Mechanical Completion, manage punch‑list clearance and ensure readiness for pre‑commissioning, commissioning, start‑up and initial operation.
• Collaborate closely with Electrical, Process, Operations, Construction, HSE and QA/QC teams.
• Review and approve instrumentation commissioning procedures, test packs and dossiers.
• Support DCS, ESD, F&G and PLC system testing in coordination with vendors and automation teams.
• Manage SIMOPS, PTW compliance and safe execution of live system testing.
• Report progress, constraints and risks to the Commissioning Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years experience in oil & gas or LNG projects with a proven role as Instrumentation Lead during pre‑commissioning and commissioning phases.
• Strong hands‑on experience in large EPC environments and site‑based LNG or gas processing facilities.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary instrumentation teams and manage interfaces.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
