Presales Engineer

About the role

Oman Fiber Optic (OFO) is looking for a Presales Engineer to act as the technical and commercial bridge between customers and the cable plant. You will ensure every bid is accurately costed, technically compliant, and fully documented from quotation through to final payment, supporting telecom and Oil & Gas customers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare costing schedules with Procurement, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing.
• Develop data sheets, compliance statements, and all technical documentation for RFQs and post‑bid stages.
• Produce post‑order technical documentation for Oil & Gas projects, securing customer approvals for timely payments and LC submissions.
• Maintain the product specification database, create new cable part numbers, and provide production plans for assigned territories.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 3–4 years of relevant experience, preferably in the telecom industry.
• Strong financial acumen and cost‑optimization mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication and presentation skills.
• Proven planning ability to meet long sales lead‑times and deadlines.
• Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and collaborative.

Required skills

• Hands‑on PC skills for preparing quotations, costing schedules, and documentation.
