Project Engineer – Fire Fighting System

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer specialized in fire fighting systems to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of fire protection projects. The role combines technical expertise with strong selling abilities and requires clear communication of complex solutions to clients and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle of fire fighting system installations, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to define technical requirements and maintain alignment.
• Prepare and review system designs, material submittals, method statements, and as‑built documentation.
• Attend site meetings, conduct inspections and technical assessments, and provide direction to installation teams.
• Identify and resolve project challenges through proactive problem‑solving.
• Support the sales team with technical input, accurate quotations, and tender submissions.
• Track project progress, control costs, and ensure timely delivery against client expectations.
• Promote a strong safety culture across all project locations.

Required profile

• Proven selling skills in an engineering or project context.
• Comprehensive knowledge of fire fighting system design, installation, testing, and compliance with NFPA, Civil Defence or equivalent codes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to read schematics, engineering drawings, and produce technical documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project engineering or technical roles within fire fighting, MEP, or building services.
• Direct experience managing installation or commissioning of fire suppression systems, sprinklers, pumps, hydrants, and related equipment is highly desirable.
