Public Relation Officer (Mortgage Coordination)

About the role

The Public Relation Officer will manage mortgage‑related formalities with key government entities, ensuring smooth creation and documentation of legal and commercial mortgages for corporate, SME and Islamic banking customers. The role also supports retail mortgage operations and drives process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate legal mortgage creation at the Ministry of Housing for corporate and SME clients (both conventional and Islamic).
• Facilitate commercial mortgage registration at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and update the bank’s name in commercial records.
• Collect and process original Mulkiyas, MOH receipts, and mortgage agreements from authorities and branches.
• Deliver share pledge letters to Muscat Depository and follow up on confirmations.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements throughout mortgage processing with MOH and MOCI.
• Provide backup support to retail mortgage operations during absences.
• Organise, track, and move mortgage‑related files, ensuring timely filing, scanning and safekeeping.
• Identify and implement process automation and digitalisation opportunities.
• Maintain adherence to bank policies, regulatory standards and governance controls.

Required profile

• Omani nationality.
• Diploma in Business Administration or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in banking operations with strong exposure to retail and corporate loan documentation.
