Public Relations Officer – Corporate Services (Oman)

About the role

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) will provide essential Government Relations support for Al-Futtaim Group in Oman. The role ensures timely processing of immigration, residency and regulatory transactions while maintaining strict compliance with Omani laws and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Process and submit all employment and residency visa applications to the Royal Oman Police Directorate General of Passport & Residence.
• Submit manual visa applications, follow up on delays, and provide status updates.
• Coordinate with immigration officers to obtain approvals, resolve issues, and submit amendments or corrections to employee records.
• Handle cancellation of exit/departure records and liaise with Muscat International Airport authorities.
• Ensure compliance with immigration regulations and company requirements.
• Register first‑time resident cards, manage renewals, replacements and collect cards from authorities.
• Update employee personal and professional information, monitor all residency‑related applications.
• Deliver official correspondence with the Ministry of Labour and other government entities, and process transactions with municipalities and regulatory authorities.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
• Good knowledge of Omani immigration and labour regulations.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with government bodies.
• Proactive approach to follow‑up and problem‑solving.
