Quality Supervisor - Coating

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Supervisor specialized in coating operations to oversee surface preparation, painting and final coating activities on construction projects. The role ensures that all coating work meets the approved Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) and project specifications while maintaining rigorous documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor coating activities, including surface preparation, blasting, painting and final coating.
• Ensure compliance with the ITP and project specifications throughout the execution.
• Conduct inspections of surface cleanliness (SA 2.5 / SA 3), anchor profile measurements, and coating thickness (DFT/WFT).
• Record daily inspection reports (DIRs) and test results, and maintain coating inspection reports.
• Validate paint batch certificates, material approvals and ensure traceability of coating materials.
• Verify proper storage, handling, shelf‑life and batch numbers of paints, and confirm correct mixing ratios and application procedures.
• Coordinate with production/construction teams, client inspectors, third‑party inspectors and manage NCRs and corrective actions.
• Support the preparation of final QC dossiers and ensure safety and compliance standards are met.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising coating or paint quality on construction or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation standards (SA 2.5, SA 3) and coating thickness measurement methods.
• Ability to interpret and apply Inspection & Test Plans and project specifications.
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
