Revenue Accountant

About the role

Vodafone Oman is seeking a Revenue Accountant to ensure accurate revenue recognition and cost of sales booking in line with IFRS standards. You will work closely with finance and product teams to support budgeting, performance analysis, and new product development.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accurate recognition of revenues according to IFRS 15 and local regulations.
• Book cost of sales, including interconnection costs, commissions, and device costs.
• Collaborate with the FP&A team to provide budget inputs and variance insights.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet items to the trial balance.
• Identify and implement reporting, system, and process improvements.
• Analyze performance, diagnose root‑cause issues, and drive continuous improvement.
• Examine revenue and cost streams to optimise financial performance.
• Support new product design and system implementation with financial insights.
• Perform transit account reconciliation with banks and payment channels.
• Assist in preparing IFRS 9 provisions.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
• 3‑4 years of experience in revenue and margin accounting.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships in a start‑up environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
• Proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
