Sales Director – FMCG (Oman)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead and expand the FMCG business of a well‑established company in Oman. This hands‑on leadership position requires deep knowledge of the Omani market and the ability to build sales operations and teams from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall sales strategy for the FMCG portfolio across Oman.
• Develop and grow all key sales channels, including Modern Trade, Traditional Trade, Gift Market, Cash Vans and E‑commerce.
• Recruit, structure and develop a high‑performing sales team.
• Launch and expand sales activities across multiple territories within Oman.
• Design channel and territory strategies to maximise distribution, coverage and sales growth.
• Maintain strong relationships with key customers and trade partners.
• Collaborate with the business to establish effective sales processes, targets and route‑to‑market strategies.

Required profile

• Currently based in Oman with at least 3 years of experience in the Omani market.
• Background in FMCG trading or distribution.
• Proven experience across multiple sales channels (Modern Trade, Traditional Trade, Gift Market, Cash Van, E‑commerce).
• Current or recent role as Key Account Manager, Country Sales Manager or similar senior sales leadership position.
• Demonstrated ability to build and develop sales teams.
• Strong commercial mindset with a track record of driving sales growth and opening new channels/territories.
• Good knowledge of the FMCG trade landscape and customer base in Oman.
