Sales Executive – Freight Forwarding (Sohar, Oman)

About the role

The Sales Executive will build and manage a personal Book of Business (BOB) within the Sohar branch, driving volume, revenue and margin growth for our freight forwarding services. You will act as both a hunter for new opportunities and a farmer for existing accounts, ensuring high‑quality service delivery across air, ocean and land logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow the BOB, targeting increased volume, revenue and margin.
• Balance new‑business hunting with existing‑account farming.
• Conduct market analysis and competitive research in the local market.
• Coordinate with Branch Operations to tailor SOPs to client needs.
• Prepare and negotiate export/import quotations, supporting clients through the sales cycle.
• Collaborate with internal networks and external partner agents to deliver optimal service.
• Maintain the CRM system, tracking pipeline and activity for incentive calculations.
• Stay informed on local regulations, industry trends and service enhancements.

Required profile

• Graduate in any discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of proven sales experience in freight forwarding (air and/or ocean).
• Demonstrated new‑business development (hunter) success.
• Existing network of customers or market relationships preferred.
• Experience meeting sales targets and conducting client visits.
• Knowledge of air freight, ocean freight, land transport, logistics solutions and value‑added services.
