SAP MDG Senior Functional Consultant

About the role

An experienced SAP MDG Senior Functional Consultant is sought in Oman, with 8+ years of experience in SAP. The role covers hands-on configuration of SAP MDG, including custom data models, governance workflows, BRF+ rules, validations, derivations and master data replication.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and implement SAP MDG Service Master Governance processes.
• Configure data models, entity types, attributes, relationships, field properties, change request types, business activities, change request steps and process models.
• Implement rule-based workflows using BRF+ decision tables, including workflow agent determination, approval routing, rework and rejection.
• Configure MDG validations and derivations, cross-entity validations and mandatory-field rules.
• Set up MDG UI layouts, field properties and UIBB settings using FPM, and support custom data model extensions and UI enhancements.
• Configure search, duplicate checks, matching rules, mass processing and bulk upload, and DRF replication models, filters and outbound parameters.
• Support key/value mapping, replication error resolution, change request activation, master data distribution, data migration, initial loads and data validation.
• Troubleshoot workflow, data model, validation and replication issues.
• Prepare functional specifications and execute functional testing for change requests, approvals, validations, activation and replication.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in SAP.
• Mandatory skills in SAP MDG configuration and customization, data modeling and process modeling, change request types and rule-based workflows, BRF+ decision tables, validations and derivations, MDG UI configuration with FPM, DRF replication, MDG search and duplicate checks, mass processing and bulk uploads, and SAP MDG on S/4HANA.
• Preferred: Service Master Governance implementation, custom data model configuration, ABAP debugging and MDG BAdI knowledge, Web Dynpro ABAP and FPM enhancements, MDG data quality management and consolidation, and SAP MDG certification.
