Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead the end‑to‑end accounting function, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately, comply with regulations, and support effective financial management and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor and reconcile vendor account balances monthly and produce timely vendor reports for management.
• Drive accurate processing of all accounts payable transactions, adhering to authorization and approval procedures.
• Review and validate supplier invoices, perform three‑way matching with purchase orders and contracts, and oversee monthly supplier payment preparation.
• Coordinate with banking partners to resolve payment issues efficiently.
• Maintain and reconcile the cash book, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational commitments.
• Oversee corporate credit‑card transaction reconciliation in line with company policies.
• Manage petty‑cash function with proper documentation and monthly reconciliation.
• Ensure integrity of the general ledger through accurate journal entries, invoice coding, account analysis and timely balancing.
• Design and enforce internal controls to guarantee completeness and accuracy of accounting records.
• Ensure compliance with statutory obligations such as VAT returns, withholding tax filings and social protection contributions.
• Maintain the finance document management system and prepare management reports within stipulated deadlines.
• Coordinate internal and external audit requirements, providing required information promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 10+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
