Senior Audit & Assurance Professional – Oman

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Senior professional to join its Audit & Assurance team in Oman. The role involves delivering high‑quality audit services, building trust with clients, and supporting the firm’s commitment to integrity and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding their service expectations.
• Deliver audit services that reflect a practical awareness of regulatory impact and risk management.
• Prepare and adapt referral instructions, clearly outlining audit scope and focus areas.
• Liaise with on‑shore and off‑shore Centres of Excellence, ensuring accurate and complete information exchange.
• Track deliverables from component auditors and integrate risks, controls, procedures, and findings into the audit file.
• Articulate audit quality milestones and ensure they are met throughout the engagement.
• Prepare documentation that anticipates reviewer questions and distinguishes accounting from auditing judgments.
• Develop relationships beyond the finance function to enhance understanding of client operations.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in audit or assurance, preferably within a professional services environment.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and risk‑based audit approaches.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work across global teams.
• Proactive attitude toward identifying and addressing audit quality issues.
• Capability to manage complex audit documentation and stakeholder expectations.
