Senior Audit Engagement Manager – Financial Audit

About the role

The Senior Audit Engagement Manager – Financial Audit leads end‑to‑end internal audit engagements within the finance domain, ensuring compliance with global internal audit standards, IPPF and local regulatory requirements. The role acts as the subject‑matter expert on finance, investments, accounting and financial reporting, delivering high‑quality audit documentation and actionable recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and design risk‑based audit programmes, defining objectives, scope, timelines and resource needs.
• Execute field work including walkthroughs, control testing, data analysis and evidence validation.
• Identify control deficiencies, assess business impact and propose practical improvement actions.
• Prepare concise audit reports with clear findings, root‑cause analysis and agreed‑upon action plans.
• Maintain complete audit working papers in the Audit Management System and ensure readiness for quality‑assurance reviews.
• Follow up on audit findings, validate remediation and track implementation status.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in internal audit, preferably within finance.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM or CIA are highly preferred.
