Senior Audit – FY'24 (Oman)

About the role

The Senior Audit professional will lead audit engagements for medium and small clients and act as a semi‑senior on larger accounts. This role involves planning, execution, and finalisation of audits while mentoring junior team members and ensuring high‑quality deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for audit engagements of medium and small clients; act as semi‑senior for large clients.
• Plan audit strategy, monitor budgets and manage audit administration.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management letters, key feature memoranda and other reporting documents.
• Conduct analytical reviews, focus on high‑risk areas such as accounts payable, receivable, fixed assets, inventory and investments.
• Supervise and mentor assistants, associates and trainees, ensuring timely clearance of review notes.
• Maintain client relations, attend stock counts and support pre‑engagement planning.
• Ensure compliance with KPMG code of conduct and risk management policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or equivalent.
• Completed at least 9 ACCA papers (F1‑F9) or equivalent professional qualifications (CPA, ICAEW).
• 2‑3+ years of post‑graduate audit experience.
• Strong analytical mindset and customer‑focused attitude.
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
