Senior Civil Designer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Senior Civil Designer to lead advanced civil engineering work across complex projects. The role involves applying sophisticated design theories, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, and delivering high‑quality deliverables for large‑scale infrastructure initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Independently complete a wide variety of civil design assignments using advanced techniques.
• Interpret and apply relevant regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry best practices.
• Provide discipline supervision for larger projects or multiple smaller projects.
• Support business development by maintaining an up‑to‑date personal profile, contributing to proposals, estimating costs, and presenting technical solutions.
• Communicate resource loading and skill requirements to supervisors and ensure coverage for vacations and absences.
• Mentor and train team members, assist with performance reviews, and facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Resolve inter‑discipline, vendor, and customer issues while ensuring health, safety, environmental, and security compliance.

Required profile

• Technical diploma (2‑3 years) or equivalent education, training, and experience.
• Active professional licence where required by law.
• Typically 12+ years of relevant civil design experience.
• Strong understanding of regulations, codes, and industry standards.
