Senior Design Manager - Jetties

About the role

Mace is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead the final design and assurance of marine structures for a large‑scale port development. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver a state‑of‑the‑art facility that supports regional economic growth and aligns with net‑zero carbon objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assure the final design of jetties, quays, piling and navigation aids.
• Ensure all designs meet contract requirements, technical standards and constructability criteria.
• Provide technical oversight and assurance prior to site execution.
• Collaborate on carbon‑emission reduction strategies throughout the delivery phase.

Required profile

• Registered civil engineer (post‑graduate qualification in Marine Structures preferred).
• 15+ years of experience, including 10+ years in final design of marine structures.
• Experience on at least two port design projects in a consultancy capacity.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
