Senior Draftsman

About the role

The Senior Draftsman will lead the production of detailed civil engineering drawings and 3D models for infrastructure projects, with a focus on hydropower and dam design. The role requires advanced expertise in Civil 3D, AutoCAD and BIM workflows to ensure design accuracy and cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings that meet project specifications and standards.
• Create and manage 3D surface models, horizontal and vertical alignments, and profiles.
• Import, process and analyse survey data to generate accurate surface analyses.
• Produce earthwork reports, volume calculations and optimise grading for cost efficiency.
• Maintain consistent sheet layouts, title blocks and scales across all deliverables.
• Resolve design conflicts through model coordination and support value‑engineering initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma in civil engineering, drafting, or CAD/BIM technology.
• Minimum 8 years of professional drafting experience, preferably on hydropower or dam projects.
• Experience in design consultancy environments and familiarity with geotechnical and hydraulic design interfaces.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of BIM workflows.
• Experience with GIS tools and survey data processing.
• Ability to build 3D surface models, alignments and perform surface analysis.
• Competence in earthwork volume calculation and grading optimisation.
