Senior Finance Manager / Acting CFO

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to act as CFO for ENGIE’s Oman‑based affiliate, a listed company operating a 405 MW gas‑turbine plant. The role will report to the plant CEO, the Audit Committee and the Board, and will be the primary point of contact for shareholders and lenders.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO and Board to shape corporate strategy and financial‑commercial plans.
• Oversee preparation, review and approval of statutory separate and consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local regulations.
• Manage monthly reporting to lenders, shareholders and capital‑market authorities.
• Identify financial risks, strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with FSA, MSX and corporate policies.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, monitor cash‑flow, liquidity and working‑capital, and report variances.
• Drive efficiency and cost‑optimization initiatives across finance, CAPEX and G&A.
• Provide leadership to the accounting team and coordinate internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Proven senior finance leadership experience, preferably in the energy or power sector.
• Demonstrated ability to act as CFO, interact with boards, audit committees and major shareholders.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, statutory reporting and capital‑market requirements.
• Experience managing budgets, cash‑flow and large‑scale financial projects.
• Track record of implementing risk‑mitigation and compliance frameworks.
