Senior Infrastructure Specialist

About the role

KalSoft is looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Specialist to lead the design, implementation and support of its enterprise IT environment in Oman. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, security and business continuity across on‑premise and cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and administer Active Directory, Office 365 and SharePoint services.
• Maintain Windows Server infrastructure, Azure/AWS cloud resources and VMware/Hyper‑V virtualization.
• Implement security controls, access management and system hardening.
• Perform patch management, vulnerability assessments and remediation.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents and guarantee service uptime.
• Support upgrades, migrations, disaster‑recovery and other infrastructure projects.
• Provide 24×7 operational support for critical services.
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with IT standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5–8 years of hands‑on experience in infrastructure administration and operations.
• Proven experience with Active Directory, Office 365, SharePoint, Windows Server, Azure, AWS, VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure security, patch and vulnerability management.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication and project coordination abilities.
• Fluent English; Omani nationality required.
• Relevant certifications (Microsoft, Azure, VMware VCP, AWS, ITIL, Security+, CISSP) are a plus.
