Senior Inspection Engineer – Lifting Equipment

About the role

The Senior Inspection Engineer will lead third‑party inspection and testing of a wide range of lifting equipment, ensuring compliance with international standards and local regulations. This onsite position is based in Muscat and reports to the technical inspection department.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct third‑party inspection and testing of mobile cranes, overhead cranes, forklifts, earth‑moving machines and loose tackles.
• Lead and manage all technical activities related to lifting equipment inspection and certification.
• Ensure inspection processes comply with ISO/IEC 17020 and the company’s quality management system.
• Issue certifications and documentation in line with relevant British and International standards.
• Maintain strict compliance with lifting equipment regulations and applicable standards during inspections.
• Supervise and guide inspection engineers, verify their reports and certificates.
• Maintain technical documents and reports for local accreditation audits.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in third‑party inspection of lifting equipment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17020 and British/International lifting equipment standards.
• Proven ability to lead technical inspection teams and manage certification processes.
• Experience supervising inspection engineers and reviewing technical reports.
