Senior Installation Engineer - Elevators & Escalators

About the role

KONE, a leading elevator and escalator manufacturer, is hiring a Senior Installation Engineer in Muscat. The role covers site supervision, installation planning and logistics, quality and safety, customer communication, team and subcontractor management, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation and handovers, ensuring safety, quality and productivity, and acting on non-conformities
• Ensure correct KONE installation methods and tools are used, and carry out risk assessments where the KONE method is not feasible
• Prepare the site, verify the site execution plan and field cost management, and confirm S-plan milestones 3 to 5z
• Plan installation activities, site storage and logistics, request and receive materials, and perform goods receipt
• Organize handovers to the installation team and subcontractors, and run daily huddles to keep work flowing smoothly
• Verify quality, close out testing issues, and complete a successful handover to maintenance
• Manage quality claims, time sheets, documentation, progress reporting, cost accumulation, risks and schedule changes
• Handle environmental aspects such as waste and hazardous material handling
• Act as the main customer contact for site management and ensure customer satisfaction
• Check that installers, testers and contractors are trained and competent, and manage the performance of the team and subcontractors
• Pursue variation sales and change orders, claim costs attributable to others, and follow LEAN principles to drive continuous improvement

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• At least 3 years of experience in elevators and escalators, with a proven track record in a similar role
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage teams on site
• Excellent health and safety knowledge
• Good English and Arabic language skills
