Senior Manager – Audit & Assurance (Oman)

About the role

Deloitte, a global leader in professional services, is seeking a Senior Manager for its Audit & Assurance practice in Oman. The role involves leading complex audit engagements, providing strategic risk insights, and ensuring high‑quality audit delivery for a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and communicate strategic audit and risk priorities to senior stakeholders.
• Oversee risk assessment procedures, ensuring they are integrated into audit planning, execution, and result evaluation.
• Lead the development of audit plans that address materiality, scope, and broader business considerations.
• Incorporate guidance from the National Audit Office and stay abreast of reporting trends.
• Coordinate with specialist experts during audit planning and manage their involvement.
• Participate in group risk assessments and guide component auditors.
• Review referral instructions, evaluate component auditor responses, and resolve issues in challenging environments.
• Drive robust revenue testing using process flow diagrams, understanding of recognition policies, and appropriate control reliance approaches.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in audit and assurance, preferably within a Big Four environment.
• Proven ability to lead large, multi‑disciplinary audit teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on strategic risk insight.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with senior client stakeholders.
• Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) and relevant audit certifications.
