Senior Manager – Audit & Assurance (Oman)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Audit & Assurance engagements in Oman. You will work with senior stakeholders, guide audit teams, and provide strategic risk insights that shape client decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and communicate the entity’s strategic audit and risk priorities to key stakeholders.
• Ensure risk‑assessment procedures are integrated into audit planning, execution, and result evaluation.
• Contribute to discussions on risk, materiality, and scope, guaranteeing comprehensive audit coverage.
• Incorporate guidance from the National Audit Office and peer reporting trends into audit methodology.
• Engage specialist experts during planning meetings and set expectations for their involvement.
• Participate in group risk assessments and coordinate work of component auditors.
• Review referral instructions, evaluate component auditor responses, and resolve issues in challenging environments.
• Analyse prior audit reports, apply the Guide to Audit Reporting, and draft new reports.
• Lead revenue testing using process flow diagrams, understanding of recognition policies, and tailored controls‑reliance approaches.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in audit and assurance, preferably within large professional services firms.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary audit teams and manage complex engagements.
• Strong understanding of audit risk frameworks, materiality assessment, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Excellent communication skills to present strategic insights to senior stakeholders.
