Senior Quality Control Engineer

About the role

EDECS is looking for a detail‑oriented Senior Quality Control Engineer to lead the implementation of the Project Quality Plan on construction sites. You will act as the primary on‑site quality representative, ensuring that all work complies with project specifications, approved drawings, and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings and method statements; prepare inspection checklists and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Conduct daily site inspections and walkthroughs, verify compliance, and identify non‑conforming work.
• Receive Requests for Inspection (RFIs), coordinate inspection schedules with consultants and site personnel, and follow up on results.
• Confirm readiness for final inspections, ensuring all deficiencies are corrected before submission.
• Monitor non‑conformance reports, track corrective actions, and manage re‑inspections until approval.
• Control document and drawing revisions, guaranteeing only the latest approved versions are used on site.
• Inspect material storage areas, report quality concerns, and support corrective actions.
• Maintain complete and traceable quality records, and submit originals to the Document Controller.
• Provide technical quality training to site personnel and subcontractors.
• Participate in quality meetings and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction quality control and inspection.
• Strong knowledge of Project Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans, and non‑conformance management.
• Ability to coordinate with consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
