Senior Quality Measurement Instruments Engineer

About the role

The Senior Quality Measurement Instruments (QMI) Engineer will support the integrity, reliability and performance of all measurement instruments, process analyzers and custody‑transfer metering systems at the Oman LNG plant in Sur. Reporting to the Lead QMI Engineer, you will provide technical leadership, ensure compliance with regulatory standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain technical integrity and availability of QMI, analyzer and metering assets.
• Lead complex troubleshooting and resolve critical measurement issues.
• Develop and optimise preventive, predictive and reliability‑centred maintenance (RCM) strategies.
• Create and update maintenance procedures, work instructions and inspection programmes in the CMMS.
• Support engineering studies, system upgrades, modifications and capital projects.
• Evaluate, specify and implement new QMI and metering technologies.
• Ensure compliance with Oman LNG procedures, international standards and the Quality Management System.
• Provide technical support for incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, HAZOP, SIL, MOC and other process‑safety activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in instrumentation, measurement and metering within the oil & gas or LNG sector.
• Strong knowledge of HSSE standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work independently on‑site and lead cross‑functional teams.
