Senior Reliability Engineer

About the role

The Senior Reliability Engineer ensures the continued airworthiness and operational efficiency of the aircraft fleet by leading reliability monitoring, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role drives corrective actions, supports the optimisation of the Aircraft Maintenance Schedule, and guarantees compliance with regulatory reliability requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the aircraft reliability monitoring programme in compliance with CAA Oman.
• Collect and analyse fleet technical data, including pilot reports, unscheduled removals, component failures, technical delays and repetitive defects.
• Define and maintain reliability KPIs such as MTBUR, delay rates and system failure rates.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and produce detailed reliability reports and dashboards.
• Identify adverse trends, issue Reliability Alert Notices and present findings to the FRAMES Committee.
• Provide engineering justification and recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
• Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the Aircraft Maintenance Schedule and related programmes.
• Carry out ETOPS reliability programme requirements and ensure rogue components are removed from inventory.

Required profile

• Significant experience in aircraft reliability monitoring and data analysis.
• Proven ability to lead investigations, develop corrective actions and present technical findings to cross‑functional teams.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance for aviation reliability (e.g., CAA Oman).
