Senior Reservoir Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to lead reservoir management, field development planning, production forecasting, reserves evaluation and optimisation of hydrocarbon recovery across our upstream assets in Oman.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor reservoir and well performance and identify optimisation opportunities.
• Perform reservoir simulation, history matching, material balance calculations and production forecasting.
• Support field development plans and reservoir development strategies.
• Evaluate reserves, resources, recovery factors and production potential.
• Conduct reservoir surveillance, pressure and production/injection performance analysis.
• Provide engineering input for new wells, infill drilling, workovers and field development activities.
• Support IOR/EOR and water/gas injection studies where applicable.
• Collaborate closely with geology, geophysics, drilling, production technology and operations teams.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Approximately 8+ years of relevant reservoir engineering experience in the upstream oil & gas sector.
• Strong experience in reservoir management, simulation, production forecasting and field development.
• Experience with producing oil and/or gas fields is preferred.
• Familiarity with industry‑standard reservoir engineering and simulation software is desirable.
