Trainee Engineer – Industrial Automation

About the role

Yokogawa is seeking motivated fresh graduates to join its structured trainee program in industrial automation. You will receive on‑the‑job training across DCS, SCADA, ESD, RTU and other control systems while supporting real projects at customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in internal training covering DCS, SCADA, ESD, RTU and related industrial control technologies.
• Assist site service, project and maintenance activities for DCS, ESD and RTU/SCADA systems.
• Support Lead Engineers with basic design tasks such as system configuration, graphics, cabinet layout and wiring diagrams.
• Help with installation, loop checking, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance under supervision.
• Take part in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning and start‑up activities.
• Prepare simple technical reports and keep accurate project and training records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, Process Control or related).
• Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Omani national, fresh graduate or limited experience.
• Willingness to work at customer sites and project locations.
• Strong communication, teamwork and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of DCS, SCADA, ESD and RTU systems.
• Understanding of industrial automation and control concepts.
• Familiarity with process instrumentation, electrical systems and control technologies.
