Site EHS Officer (Omani National)

About the role

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Site EHS Officer to lead health, safety and environmental activities on its major railway project in Oman. The role ensures compliance with Siemens EHS principles, local regulations and international standards while supporting a safe and sustainable work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary EHS contact on site, ensuring compliance with Siemens policies, contractual obligations and local/international regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections, identify risks, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management system implementation and maintenance.
• Prepare detailed EHS reports, maintain performance records, and manage incident investigations.
• Monitor subcontractor EHS performance, review Safe Work Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Permit‑to‑Work documentation.
• Deliver safety meetings, toolbox talks, inductions and maintain the EHS training matrix.
• Coordinate emergency response drills and support continuous improvement of emergency preparedness.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil or related).
• Omani nationality.
• 3‑5 years’ experience in Health, Safety & Environment, preferably in construction or railway projects.
• NEBOSH IGC (Merit) and IOSH Managing Safely certifications.
• Lead Auditor certifications for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Valid Oman/GCC driving licence and First Aid certification.
