Specialist Dermatologist

About the role

A premier healthcare facility in the Sultanate of Oman is seeking a highly competent, patient-focused Specialist Dermatologist. You will deliver advanced clinical, surgical and aesthetic dermatological care, giving accurate diagnoses and tailored treatment plans for pediatric and adult patients.

Key responsibilities

• Clinical assessment and diagnosis of acute and chronic conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, alopecia, skin infections, pigmentation disorders and pre-cancerous lesions.
• Aesthetic and cosmetic procedures including Botox, dermal fillers, chemical peels, microneedling, PRP therapy and laser treatments (skin resurfacing, hair reduction, vascular lesions).
• Minor surgical interventions such as skin biopsies, excisions of benign and malignant lesions, electrosurgery and cryotherapy.
• Patient education and consultation before and after treatment, setting realistic expectations and advising on long-term skin health.
• Maintain compliant electronic health records and follow the regulations and standards of the Oman Ministry of Health.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent, followed by a recognised post-graduate qualification in Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy (MD, DNB, MRCP-Derm or equivalent).
• At least 3 years of clinical experience after qualification in a hospital or reputable outpatient clinic.
• Eligible for OMSB evaluation / Prometric exam clearance; current active licence to practice in the country of origin.
• Professional fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Familiarity with modern electronic medical records systems.
• Strong communication skills and an empathetic bedside manner.
