Team Leader – Card Issuance

About the role

The Card Issuance Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the end‑to‑end process of issuing debit and credit cards, ensuring smooth operations, accurate stock management, and timely delivery to customers. This role coordinates with internal departments and external vendors to resolve issues and maintain high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and monitor the Card Issuance section, ensuring systematic execution of all activities.
• Acknowledge receipt of credit‑card applications from branches and call centres and perform secondary reviews of customer details.
• Approve physical card issuance promptly and coordinate with IT, AFS, branches, and call centres to resolve queries.
• Manage relationships with external card suppliers, ensuring adequate stock and timely delivery.
• Conduct regular team meetings, address concerns, and coordinate training with HR.
• Maintain and update Card Operations SOPs, ensure compliance with bank policies, and keep MIS and quarterly CBO reports up to date.
• Oversee credit‑card payment runs, renewals, and statement issuance within defined turnaround times.
• Participate in additional projects and initiatives as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Degree in Business or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in banking card operations.
• Strong understanding of bank policies, procedures, and card‑operations systems.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
