Telecom Installation Engineer

About the role

The Telecom Installation Engineer will plan, supervise and execute the installation of railway telecommunications systems, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient railway operations. This role coordinates site activities, manages installation teams and subcontractors, and supports testing and commissioning of a wide range of telecom systems.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation of railway telecom equipment and cabling according to approved drawings and project schedules.
• Coordinate with civil, power, signaling and other project teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Monitor quality, safety and environmental compliance on site.
• Review installation documentation, method statements and inspection reports.
• Manage delivery and hand‑over processes to consultants and clients.
• Support testing, commissioning and system integration activities.
• Resolve technical issues and provide engineering support during installation.
• Track progress and report installation status to project management.
• Ensure compliance with railway standards and client requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in railway telecommunications installation and supervision.
• Strong understanding of project specifications, quality standards and safety regulations.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage subcontractors.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for technical issues on site.
