UT Technician – Offshore Structures & Piping Inspection

About the role

The UT Technician will perform ultrasonic testing inspections on offshore structures and piping for a two‑year oil & gas project in Oman. The position demands hands‑on expertise with butt welds, joint assessment, and compliance with PCN and API RP 2X standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct ultrasonic testing on offshore structures, pipelines, and butt welds.
• Verify compliance with PCN 3.1, 3.2, 3.8, and 3.9 certifications.
• Document inspection results and generate technical reports.
• Participate in company interview and API RP 2X mock‑up test qualification.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely completion of inspection activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of ultrasonic testing experience in oil & gas offshore environments.
• UT Technician certification.
• Proven experience inspecting butt welds and joints.
• Familiarity with API RP 2X guidelines.
• Immediate availability and ability to work offshore.
