Assistant Manager – Distribution Center

About the role

The Assistant Manager will lead the performance of a third‑party logistics (3PL) distribution centre, ensuring key performance indicators are met while driving cost efficiency and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end 3PL DC performance and develop KPIs as needed.
• Optimize operational performance through weekly audits and continuous improvement.
• Monitor daily stock levels and shrink, partnering with Demand Planning to reduce waste.
• Lead data‑driven process improvement projects to eliminate waste and boost efficiency.
• Ensure inventory accuracy, availability, and shrinkage control via regular audits.
• Plan and execute volume centralisation with Demand, Commercial, regional and 3PL teams.
• Own monthly and annual DC P&L, controlling costs and validating weekly spend against reality.
• Oversee workforce planning, hiring, onboarding, and technical training for the DC team.
• Coach supervisors and frontline staff, fostering a culture of accountability and high engagement.
• Collaborate with Demand Planning, Commercial, Procurement and Inventory teams to align DC throughput with business goals.
• Ensure health and safety compliance within the 3PL facility.

Required profile

• More than 7 years of warehousing operations and start‑up experience.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret data and drive decisions.
• Proven capability to manage teams and processes effectively.
• Deadline‑oriented with a focus on results.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
