Senior Procurement Officer

About the role

SGS is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to lead strategic procurement activities for the Oman LNG client site. The role focuses on executing procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, and supporting strategic sourcing and contract negotiations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing category‑specific procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals.
• Conduct market research, analyse trends and identify cost‑saving and process‑improvement opportunities.
• Source and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, pricing, reliability and compliance.
• Collaborate with legal teams to negotiate and finalise contracts, service level agreements and pricing.
• Manage purchase orders, ensure accuracy and timely processing, and coordinate deliveries with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance, maintain KPIs and generate reports for senior management.
• Analyse pricing trends and implement initiatives to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, vendor management or supply chain roles.
• Relevant experience in the Oil and Gas sector.
