Assistant Branch Manager – Corporate & Institutional Banking

About the role

HSBC is looking for an ambitious Assistant Branch Manager to lead day‑to‑day branch operations and back‑office support for corporate clients in Oman. The role ensures high service quality, strong operational risk management and supports digital migration.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily branch operations, cash treasury, teller controls and trade counter activities.
• Manage scanning, reconciliation of customer payments and trade documents, and allocate workflows and authorisation limits.
• Monitor audit, exception and control reports, coordinate remediation and maintain monthly suspense account balances.
• Lead Business Recovery Plan activities, health and fire safety drills and branch administration records.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising branch operations with a focus on service quality and operational control.
• End‑to‑end knowledge of cash services, treasury and teller processes, and risk mitigation.
• Working knowledge of trade products, back‑office processing and trade counter procedures.
• Strong operational risk and internal control awareness, able to implement audit recommendations promptly.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, for customer‑facing interactions.
